Suttridge Guest Farm & Cottages

Leave behind the bustle of modern life and join us on 800 hectares of open space and two secluded Cape West Coast cottages. Leave behind the DStv, the radio, even the electricity (!), since our cottages have warm, romantic non-Eskom lighting, cozy fireplaces for winter, and gas-operated fridges, stoves and geysers. Cellphones still do work (unfortunately !).

Our farm is situated outside the quiet, crime-free country town of Vanrhynsdorp, bounded by mountains to one side, with views out over the quartz plains of the Knersvlakte, and close to the Olifants River wine route. Spring-time brings the fabled wild flowers of Namaqualand whenever precious rains have fallen.

The cottages are self-catering. Barbeque/braai facilities are available at the cottages. There is the use of a solar-heated Jacuzzi. There is a small observatory for closer viewing of the magnificent night skies. This can be organised by prior arrangement.
